About
Elizabeth Dunn is an award-winning writer and director from the Jersey Shore. Growing up homeschooled, she spent half her childhood in the ocean on her shortboard and the rest working towards her college education; she started taking college classes at age 11. By 16, she graduated from Rowan University with a B.A. in Radio, Television, and Film, and headed west to earn a master’s from ArtCenter College of Design, graduating at 19.
An avid history buff, her work explores rich settings and untold stories, grounded in authentic human emotion. When she’s not going down research rabbit holes for her next screenplay, she brings her unique youthful perspective to directing ad campaigns, which have recently received acclaim at the American Advertising Awards. She is also a co-author of the children’s book MacCarrig.
Elizabeth currently resides in Los Angeles, spending her free time rewatching period dramas or learning a new Chopin piece.
Directing a film is an intense journey which takes unyielding passion and perseverance, much like mastering a Chopin waltz on the piano. But when finished, the magnitude of the accomplishment is magical. -Elizabeth
